The hand of the master craftsman

Our restoration was a labour of love, committed to authenticity over convenience. The project engaged a guild of master artisans—specialists in Arabesque, Qishani, and Ajami. The stunning patterned tiles underfoot—in white, green, red, and blue, are all handcrafted by Syrian artisans, infusing the space with the spiritual energy of their craft.

 

The courtyard : Are al-diyar

The lobby area is the traditional Ard Al-Diyar (the home’s heart), anchored by the magnificent central fountain (Noufarah). Here, guests may observe the timeless Damascene tradition of taking breakfast to the soothing trickle of water. The custom wood furniture required days and weeks of focused artistry

 

The liana & the time capsule

The Liwan: The sky-lit reception hall offers a dramatic ceiling aperture, covered by an electronic canopy… The Time Capsule: Below the residence lies a true “Time Machine.” Our subterranean cellar, built using traditional stone arch construction, is over seven centuries old and has been transformed into an exquisite Arabesque Hammam and Lounge
